Minimally Invasive Veneers

Veneers are thin coverings bonded to the front surfaces of teeth to change their colour, shape, or size. Minimally invasive veneers are designed to require less removal of natural tooth structure than traditional porcelain veneers, making them a more conservative option when clinically appropriate.

They may be made from ultra-thin porcelain or composite resin, depending on the case. The goal is to achieve an aesthetic improvement while keeping as much of your natural enamel intact as possible.

Minimally invasive veneers may be discussed for concerns such as minor discolouration, small chips, uneven edges, or slight gaps between teeth. They are not suitable for every situation; teeth with significant misalignment, large restorations, or active decay may require a different approach.

At a consultation, we assess your oral health, discuss your aesthetic goals, and explain whether minimally invasive veneers, traditional veneers, bonding, or another treatment may be appropriate for your situation.

The process typically involves a consultation, tooth preparation (which may be minimal or none at all in some cases), impressions or digital scans, and placement of the final veneers at a follow-up visit. Some composite veneers can be completed in a single appointment.

Veneers require ongoing care, including regular brushing, flossing, and dental check-ups. We discuss maintenance, longevity expectations, and any habits, such as grinding, that could affect the restorations over time.
