Full Mouth Reconstruction

Comprehensive treatment plans to rebuild and restore your entire smile's function and appearance.

What is full mouth reconstruction?

Full mouth reconstruction refers to a coordinated plan that addresses multiple dental concerns across the entire mouth, often involving both function and appearance. It may include a combination of restorative and cosmetic treatments such as crowns, bridges, fillings, implants, veneers, or bite-related care, depending on what each tooth and the overall bite require.

This is distinct from a smile makeover, which typically focuses on aesthetic coordination of cosmetic treatments. Full mouth reconstruction often addresses worn, damaged, or missing teeth, bite problems, and structural concerns that affect how you chew and speak, not only how your smile looks.

When it may be recommended

Full mouth reconstruction may be discussed when extensive wear, multiple failing restorations, tooth loss, bite collapse, or a combination of functional and aesthetic concerns affect most or all of the teeth. Each case is assessed individually based on clinical findings, imaging, and your goals.

Treatment is typically planned in phases. The sequence and scope depend on your oral health, priorities, and the complexity of the case. We explain each phase, what it involves, and how the overall plan fits together before moving forward.

What to expect

The process begins with a thorough evaluation, including examination, x-rays or other imaging as needed, and discussion of your concerns and expectations. A written treatment plan outlines recommended procedures, phasing, and estimated visits.

Because reconstruction often involves multiple procedures over time, the duration varies considerably from patient to patient. We do not guarantee a specific timeline or outcome; we work with you to develop a realistic plan and adjust as needed based on how treatment progresses.

Realistic expectations

Full mouth reconstruction is a significant commitment. At your consultation, we discuss what improvements are achievable, what the process involves, and how to maintain results with ongoing care. Oral health remains the priority throughout planning and treatment.
